Something's missing in my life..maybe its Greens, maybe its greens I need!

A recent survey in the US revealed nearly half of all American adults are confused about health, that is, have difficulty understanding and acting on health information!

Health & nutrition is my passion, and that is why I love sharing what I’ve learned over a period of years of studying the subject.

There is one key that may well unlock your health potential.

Something’s missing in my life, maybe its Greens, maybe its greens I need? Green leafy vegetables!

• Greens contain more beta-carotene than carrots

• Greens contain more vitamin C than oranges

• Greens contain more Vitamin E than whole grain wheat

• Greens contain more vitamin B2 than dairy milk

• Greens contain a complete amino acid profile (protein)

But wait, there’s more! Greens are the most nutrient rich of all foods and they provide the best source of the alkaline minerals: calcium, magnesium, and iron as well as many others, and these alkaline minerals create the perfect environment for health by cleansing and detoxing your body of bad bacteria, parasites, yeast, etc.

And that, my friend, is why Greens are the most important ingredient in our diets!

The world’s strongest vegetarian animals (elephants and Gorillas) eat loads of greens everyday.

- Help you overcome cravings and addictions of all kinds

- Help you reach your ideal weight

- Help you feel so energetic that you'll literally jump out of bed in the morning!

- Help you prevent and heal dental problems

- Help you prevent and overcome deficiencies of all kinds.

Does this mean I need to eat like a rabbit all day long?

Well, I love to talk about this one simple health strategy that is changing lives, all over the globe!

Victoria Boutenko shares her Green Smoothies with the world in her book ‘Green for life’

This is a revolutionary but simple idea that can not only change your nutritional status in a very short term, but help you lose weight easy, and leave you loaded with energy! Anyone interested? If you just allowed me to influence just one of your meals a day, and substitute your breakfast for an easily prepared fruit smoothie, then throw in a few good handfuls of greens to the mix, I’m sure you’ll be truly amazed at the results! You can use spinach, kale, cos lettuce, Swiss chard, celery, beet tops, carrot tops, and there’s also a number of wild-edibles. Try it out for yourself - the fruit camouflages the taste of the greens.

All you need is a blender and you’ll be off and racing.

Just place your favourite fruit (bananas, mangos and pears are wonderful) in the blender, and almost cover in pure water and throw in those precious greens.

This is without a doubt the best way to step up a nutritional notch or two in your health.

Why not just juice?

Dr Sandra Cabot says “There is no doubt in my mind that raw juicing can save your life.

I’ve seen it work miracles in some of my patients who were stuck on the merry go round of drug therapy.”

This is certainly the truth, however, the two benefits of smoothies vs  juices is the valuable fibre is retained, and there is no waste or messy clean up.

I do both, but love the ease and convenience of my blended breaky!

Other ways to improve your health:

• Eat at least three fresh raw fruits each day (one before each major meal)

• Eat a handful of superfood supplements each day. E.g. Chia seeds, Goji Berries, and Cacao (Raw Chocolate) High ORAC value

• Consume more full-spectrum salt i.e. Himalayan Salt (ideally replace for processed "refined" salt)

• Drink a fresh superfood smoothie each day (Land and sea supergreen vegetables may be added as well)

And not to forget at least 2litres of pure water everyday.
